International Women's Day

Sumandak in the house :)

Each year on the 8th of March, the day is marked as International Women's Day. It is the day of celebration towards women's economic, political and social achievements. As you can see, in the past the three subject were dominated by men. But nowadays, there is no such thing. Women and men can stand in the same level or in another words they have the same opportunities. Women also has a great achievement in their own league and marked their name in the history.

Take Tan Sri Zeti Akhtar for example. She is Bank Negara Malaysia Governor, proof that women also can achieve a highest career if they want to. Of course you have to work hard for it and because of her work ethic she was named as one of the World's Best Central Bankers. That is only one example, if you want more try Google about women achievement all around the world. I am pretty sure, the result can bring a smile...hehe.

Today is the day :) What makes the day special is...it is the 100th anniversary of International Women's Day. Yesterday, I saw this topic on yahoo. So I think, why not I bring the topic here today. The topic goes like this, in the celebration of this event, share with everyone the woman you admire the most. Why she is special to you or inspire you more than all the other women you know?

As for me, I definitely choose my beloved MUM :)

She is my inspiration for being a woman. From her, I learn that woman also can make their own decision. Woman cannot be too dependent on men. I didn't mean that women doesn't need men. God created man and woman, they need each other. What I am trying to say is, there will be a time when women need to think on their own. Like my mum, in the past she worked very hard to make sure all of us get better education. She knows that if she depend on her husband only for living, the family will go nowhere. When we were young, life was not easy. My mum believed the only way to improve our life and to secure our future is by education and she is right. We owe her that much.

My mum doesn't have the best career in the world but she achieve her greatest achievement by raising us to become what we are right now. Cheeers to all the women in the world...

PS : How about you? Who is the woman you admire the most?

Flower Nursery at JS Nursery, Kundasang

Sumandak in the house :)

Let's talk flower today (haha). Do you have any experience visit flower nursery before? During our visit to Kundasang, we went to J.S Nursery. Seriously I don't know how to explain the location, I try Google it but no success. So I am going to explain the location the best I can.

J.S Nursery is located near the main road to Desa Cattle Farms. If you drive pass Kundasang War Memorial, the place is approximatively 5 minutes and above from the War Memorial, look at your right side :)

I must confess, this is my first time visit a place like this (please don't laugh at me...hahaha). Flower garden yes, but not a nursery. Or is it similar? hahaha...anyway, from my view a garden is a place where flowers are grown for decorative purpose. Flower nursery is more to a place that grow many types of plants and its for sale. The cool climate in Kundasang is perfect to grow the plants successfully. I wonder, if I am interested and want to but it, will the plant survive in my area? I mean Kota Kinabalu is a hot place compare to Kundasang. My advice, ask the person in charge there before you buy something. They can give you guidelines and information about the plants.

If you happen to visit Kundasang, don't forget to stop at J.S Nursery. I must say, I truly enjoy watched all the plants and hope I can bring one home. sob sob...Mum and my uncle is the happiest person here. Mum is crazy about flowers you know, and my uncle is crazy about cactus (because they share the same gen...hahaha). Seriously, Mr. M want to buy something for his home but I told him NO. I know he won't have enough time to look after the plants. I don't care about the price, I think it's a sin if you let the plants die without care (hahaha). So I told him to wait until we get married, after that he can buy whatever plants he want because I'll be there to help him :)

You know what, I truly envied the peoples here. They can grow beautiful flowers and watch it everyday (sigh). Maybe someday, I will build my own house here (next to grandma maybe...hahaha) so I can grow beautiful flowers too and watch the majestic view of Mount Kinabalu :)

Fishes that massages :)

Want to experience fishes that massages? Welcome yourself to Sungai Moroli, Kampung Luanti. If you want to know the details such as how to go there, rates and what they provide there, just go here and check it out or read Pelian Fish Massage Kg Luanti, Ranau because here I only want to share our experience while exploring this place...

This is the place that my mum insist a must visit while in Ranau. She’s been talking about it since last year…hahaha. Seriously, I don’t even know this place exist but thank God mum knows about this place >.<

When we arrived at this place, we were like OMG! Its super crowded ohh, because its holiday and everyone is taking a chance to spend quality times with family members. Anyway, we manage to register our group and waited for almost 20 minutes before our group was called :) Of course, mum is the most anxious one. This is her idea maaah…hahaha. We don’t know what to expect or how will fishes massages our feet…

BUT, when we put our foot in the river….naaah, the fishes come without warning and start to ‘massage’ our feet. How its feel? Mr. M said it was like his foot was being electrocuted….hahahaha. Okay everyone, he was just kidding. Actually, the fishes are nibbling our feet. At first, its feel weird but you will relax when you get used to it.

The small fishes are the active one. Nibbling like there is no tomorrow (hahahahaha), the boys said some of their hair on legs were yank out by the fishes. I like the big fishes, you can touch and play with it. They are very tame…at some point you want to catch one and bring it home BUT its forbidden okay. Don’t ever try to lift the fish from the river or the security guard will throw you out (~ ~)

Hmmm…I am not sure if we relax or not because we are the noisiest group at that time (hahahaha). A little bit embarrassing, the security guard even warns us not to make a noise so the other group will not be disturb. I was confuse you know, how to relax when the other family members produce a lot of words like ~ aduh, awww, aduii…not to mention the giggling sound (hihihi)

Overall, we really enjoy our time and personally I feel so happy because mum is smiling from ear to ear. That is our main goal, to make mum happy ;) The 15 minutes is not enough but we don’t want to be greed. So many people are waiting for their turn so it’s better than nothing. Give the others the chance to experience the massage, considering that some people take a long journey just to be there. We can come back next time…

Okay everyone, if you plan something different or special for family day out, maybe you can put Sungai Moroli, Kampung Luanti on your list. Highly recommended! After the massage session, you can swim at the other section of the river for FREE and take your time as long as you want. It’s a pity we don’t bring any cloths for change that day, it would be fun to swim at the downstream. I almost can imagine the fresh air touch my skin. BUT then, we don’t know about the ‘mandi sungai’ part right?? Hahaha…

- Please ignore this picture, this is just for fun...hahaha -

And for those who love to sing, they provide Karaoke section where you can sing RM1.00 for one song and RM10.00 for one hour. Fish spa and music in the air makes the place happening…

PS : Dear fish, please wait for our next visit…
