My Best Friend's Wedding

Hello everyone, Sumandak in the house with a good spirit although I know its already in the middle of the night...hihihi

Yay, last Sunday me and Mr. M went to Kota Marudu. Last year, we went to the same journey for Hari Raya open house but this time it was because of my best friend’s wedding. We were supposed to go with my two siblings but they cancelled at the very last minute.

We started the journey at 3.00 pm from Kota Kinabalu. Can you believe that?! We are super late! Actually Mr. M promise to leave from Kota Kinabalu around 12.30 pm but the plan did not go as we planned. Well, I am a little bit annoyed also disappointed but I cannot blame Mr. M on the delays. He had been good enough to take time off so we can go to the wedding together.

The weather was not so good especially when we reached Kota Belud. The night before, Zezebel is texting me said she is worried because the rain won’t stop and I understand why she felt like that. Houses along the way at Kota Belud were hit by flood especially the ones build at the lower area. The road is not flooded yet but Mr. M was quite worried, what if it rains heavily later? I assured him, there is nothing to be worried. Just pray everything will be fine…

So, it was nearly 5pm when we finally arrived at Zezebel’s house. I feel guilty for coming late but like Mr. M said, better came late rather than don’t coming at all and I guess he was right (haha). I still cannot believe Zezebel is now a wife (sob sob), I just hope our friendship will stay the way it is. And actually deep inside my heart, I am super-happy because finally she found her true Mr. Right. As long she is happy, then I will happy too...

I only managed to snap two pictures during her wedding due to our late arrival (haha). And of course, I publish these pictures with her permission especially from her husband (~~). I wish both of them all the best in the future. It won't be easy, there will be challenges but I am sure they are ready physically and mentally. When two peoples decided to get married, that means they are willing to accept the good and bad of themselves. Both of you, don't worry about me. I won't get stressed about this wedding thing...hahaha

It’s a pity we cannot linger more, the weather is getting worse and its getting late. With a heavy heart, I said goodbye to Puan Zezebel (hohoho) and headed home...

International Women's Day

Sumandak in the house :)

Each year on the 8th of March, the day is marked as International Women's Day. It is the day of celebration towards women's economic, political and social achievements. As you can see, in the past the three subject were dominated by men. But nowadays, there is no such thing. Women and men can stand in the same level or in another words they have the same opportunities. Women also has a great achievement in their own league and marked their name in the history.

Take Tan Sri Zeti Akhtar for example. She is Bank Negara Malaysia Governor, proof that women also can achieve a highest career if they want to. Of course you have to work hard for it and because of her work ethic she was named as one of the World's Best Central Bankers. That is only one example, if you want more try Google about women achievement all around the world. I am pretty sure, the result can bring a smile...hehe.

Today is the day :) What makes the day special is...it is the 100th anniversary of International Women's Day. Yesterday, I saw this topic on yahoo. So I think, why not I bring the topic here today. The topic goes like this, in the celebration of this event, share with everyone the woman you admire the most. Why she is special to you or inspire you more than all the other women you know?

As for me, I definitely choose my beloved MUM :)

She is my inspiration for being a woman. From her, I learn that woman also can make their own decision. Woman cannot be too dependent on men. I didn't mean that women doesn't need men. God created man and woman, they need each other. What I am trying to say is, there will be a time when women need to think on their own. Like my mum, in the past she worked very hard to make sure all of us get better education. She knows that if she depend on her husband only for living, the family will go nowhere. When we were young, life was not easy. My mum believed the only way to improve our life and to secure our future is by education and she is right. We owe her that much.

My mum doesn't have the best career in the world but she achieve her greatest achievement by raising us to become what we are right now. Cheeers to all the women in the world...

PS : How about you? Who is the woman you admire the most?

Blogging And Wedding Story

Sumandak in the house :)

Naaah, it becomes a habit my update cames in the middle of the night, hahaha...Who to blame? Myself lah, who else...Anyway, I manage to steal some time in the office and doing blogwalking on my lunch break.  Not much but better than nothing. I can see that everyone is busy either with work or life. Some still have time to update their blog at least twice a day (~~), are they superhuman or what. Oh, don't get me wrong. That was a jealous statement, a harmless one...hahahaha. And some are busy preparing a wedding. Jeng, jeng, jeng...

One of my widget gone today. I deleted it after the long battle between me and myself. Can you tell which one? haha...I hope after this, the loading page will be faster than before. Faster like a car using Shell RON97 (hahahaha). Next widget is the Cbox (sob, sob and sob). This one is very hard decision to do, seriously I don't have the gut to remove it but as you can see the 'kupi-kupi corner' is full with SPAM. And it will only a matter of time before the creepy Malware found a way and attack my blog! Like everyone of you, that kind of situation must be avoided the best you can (hohoho). I don't know, I will let the 'kupi kupi corner' stay for a while before I make my decision final. Do you have any idea about this?

Forget about the blogging thing. Let's go back to the wedding story. Who is getting married? Definitely not me :) Two peoples that I know are getting married this month. One is this Saturday and another one is my best friend Zezebel :) Her fiance just upload their wedding invitation on Facebook. I must confess that I feel a little bit depressed about this wedding thing. Peoples around me keep asking me when is the 'big day' including my father (hohoho). Do you think its easy to get married? I don't know about your opinion but for me getting married is not about get married just like that. I believe that someone must well prepared mentally and physically before entering such commitment especially women.

Why women? Hello, do you read newspaper...How many women out there, left by their husband just like that. To make things worst, the abandoned wife has no job but got children to support. If you have no experience about work, especially when you married at young age, how are you going to support yourself and your kids...maybe family members can help but temporarily not forever. Thats what I mean prepared yourself mentally and physically because we will not know what might happen in the future. If something happen, at least you already know what you must do and how to look for solution.

Ya, I am afraid and I am not ready to get married. But apparently, age is not waiting for me to be ready (hahaha). Every year the number keep increase. The higher the number, a chance to get pregnant will decrease. Don't ask me why, it is a basic knowledge about women health :) Naaah...If I don't get married as soon as possible, I will look like a grandma to my 10 year old children in the future...hahahaha. Just kidding (@@). If everything went well, maybe I will have my big day by the end of this year (hohoho). Pray for me and Mr. M kio...

Orait lah, that will do for today. See you all later...Sweet dreams :)

DOSS Mania!

This is what happens when there are too many ladies in the family. As you can see, we are crazy about DOSS or should we say DOSS mania? The reason we love this brand very much is they offer varieties design of ladies shoes with reasonable and affordable prices. Cute, gorgeous, sexy, simple, comfortable…pendek kata, macam-macam ada. Want a pair of gorgeous heels with a cost below RM20?? Give DOSS outlet a visit…

I am not sure in your area but in Kota Kinabalu, DOSS outlet can be found at Centre Point and Karamunsing Shopping Complex (please add or correct if you know another outlet because that is the only place we normally go).

From Wyne - Gorgeous Ramblings : DOSS outlet also available at Wawasan Plaza

Let me tell you the advantage when there are too many ladies in the family. We simply can borrow each other stuffs because we are ladies (hehe). But when it comes to shoes, unfortunately I cannot borrow theirs. Remember yesterday I told you about being the shortest in the family? Now I want to tell you that I have the smallest foot on planet earth! Just kidding (haha)…my foot is the smallest in the family. Look at the picture below, can you imagine my size?

Naaah, you better look carefully…who knows, maybe I will ask you what is my foot size in Set 2 Question. Don’t guess here, keep the answer for yourself until next week…

Okay that’s all for now. Enjoy your day, keep smiling no matter what and don’t forget to laugh. Life is short so enjoy every moment of it…

Pink Ribbon

Sebarkan mesej reben Merah Jambu

(read more here)

Five survivors sacrifice time to help raise breast cancer awareness

EARLY detection saves lives. That was the message that Ranbir Kaur Toor and four other women tried to get across as they worked the crowd during a recent breast cancer awareness campaign held at a hypermarket in Seremban.

The five women – all breast cancer survivors – were determined to spread awareness of the disease despite their own busy schedules.

They had volunteered their time to take part in a series of nationwide road shows organised by the Pride Foundation, a charity that aims to enhance awareness efforts and improve accessibility to treatment and care of breast cancer at all levels of society.

Ranbir Kaur, 46, a seven-year breast cancer survivor and mother of one, said the time she sacrificed to participate in the road show was well worth it as she did not want any one to go through what she had. (read more here)

3 Things

Okay, there are 3 things I have in mind for the past 2 weeks but I have to choose which one to do first...

Handphone. This stuff is important. Everyone use it to keep in touch with friends, family and loves one. And because of my blogging addiction, I need to upgrade my handphone. I  want to capture lots of pictures for my blog and I want the pictures in a good quality (tak kuasa nak angkut kamera ke hulu ke hilir…hihihi). The truth is, my old handphone always give me a headache. I was thinking, instead of spending a lot of money for repairing, servicing and all kinds of bla bla bla…why not I buy a new one, right??? Hehe…

Rebonding aka hair makeover. Makeover is ladies's best friend (hahaha). Seriously, I need a new hair cut and maybe straighten back my hair. Sometimes, I need to meet my customer so appearance is important. Not a beautiful appearance but confident appearance. If you don’t feel confident, believe me…your customer can feel it too because the feeling was written all over your face. So what is the connection between hair and confident? Yaaay, my original hair is wavy and not easy to manage. It took at least 20 minutes to adjust this and that in front of the mirror (boleh gila I tell you, kadang-kadang macam mau telan saja tu minyak rambut) That’s why I straighten my hair once in a year. Sungguh senang diurus begitu saja ^ ^

Driving License. Ladies at my age should already have driving license. Me??? Not yet but I am working on it. We ladies must know how to drive a car, be independent. We don’t know what will happen in the future right? I should get my license two years ago but I keep postponing my plan. I think I will pass with flying colour. Sometimes, Mr. M let me ‘test drive’ his car. Yes, we reach the destination safely but Mr. M rolled his eyes all the way because I used gear one ONLY. Hahahahaha…Maybe I was born to drive auto car :)

Money is not the question here. The main thing is, which one is important. If ikut hati (follow my heart), I want to do it all at once but…sabar (be patient). Don’t be greed. The economy right now also unstable means anything can happen. So, we have to be prepared. After speak heart to heart with Mr. M, we decide that I must do driving license first. The handphone can wait. He promised he will buy a new one if I pass my driving lesson >.< Houye, houye (hmmm…I am falling in love with the right guy, hehehe)
As for the makeover, will calculate the budget first. Maybe you can see the new me by the end of this month ^ ^

How about you, have you experience something like this before?

Okay, this is all in one update. Hehehe…

I Know What You Did Last Night

Seriously, this is the price you have to pay for being the eldest and have 7 sisters. I don’t know what happened yesterday. My sister bought a new nail color. And I said COOL, let’s try it…hahaha. I am not the type who is crazy about nail color but look what we done last night…

What do you think, do you like it?? Hahahaha…OMG! I don’t know what Mr. M will say if he saw this. Rolling his eyes?? Lol…But I will clean it before the weekend. It’s weird to have black nail. I feel that I am a gothic princess…hahahaha

Award Section

I would like to say thanks to Si Biskut for this award. I was suppose to tag bloggers for this award but like I said before, I don’t want to choose. So, whoever read this consider that you are tag. Once again, big thanks to Si Biskut

I received a call this morning, “your notebook is ready to collect”. Finally, the waiting is over. Now I can blog like a mad woman. Hahahaha…

Mum And Lipstick

It’s been one week mum complained about her lipstick. She asked for a new one because the old one was expired. Hahaha…OMG mum, you know better than me. So, I spend my lunch time buying new lipstick for my mum.

I went to Guardian. The outlet was selling REVLON’s lipstick, buy 1 free 1. It’s a promotion for one month only. Seriously, go to the nearest Guardian’s outlet right now. Normal price is RM29.90 for one, but now you can pick two for that price. Hurry…

Tragedy October

We were given:
Brain to Think
Eyes to See
Ears to Hear
Mouth to Speak &
Hands to Help

I was really terrified to hear the news about the missing nurse and found in half-naked and dead at King Fisher! What the hell is going on with the living thing that we call "Human being" today?? Taking someone's life isn't our obligation! MotherF-er!! I have read about this on Daily Express last Monday. But in the news report, they said she was missing, her car was parked at the Australia Place near to Hotel Garden. And on Tuesday, she was found dead! She had been kidnapped and raped by the unknown animal that is still preying for another victim out there! So Ladies, Be careful!

The person who responsible for the murder is so cruel! He is nothing but an animal. Just like animal who don't have sense like human do. I think animal is far more better that him. He has no sense of guilty! I hope that he will get equal punishment. No matter where you hide with your pride to kill an innocent woman, I tell you, the curse from the community are on you! Bear the consequence that you have created on your own!

Note to The people Out there:

we were given:
Brain to think, and this gift make us different with the animal. A brain to think, so that we can act rationally. Do not simply do this and that by without thinking the effect on you and the people around you

Eyes to see and ears to hear. We need each other. If you see or hear any suspicious actions, immediately report to the police.

Mouth to Speak, do not hide anything that you think can help the police and the victiom to arrest the criminal.

Hands to help. Do not be so selfish. We were living under the same moon and sun, why can't we help each other? We need one another.

To the victim:

Annie John Dismas, Rest in Peace. To the family of the victim, condolence. Be strong!

If Women Rule...

Is the topic hot enough? Hehehe…
Seriously, if women rule are you guys will obey all the rules? But that’s not my point. Actually this morning, while ironing my cloth I watch ASTRO History Channel. The documentary was about Strange Ritual : Warrior Women. Here is the synopsis of the documentary (source : History Asia)

We live in a man's world...or do we? Three thousand years ago, the story of Amazon warriors spread among ancient Greeks. Nowadays it is dismissed as myth. But archeologist Jeannine Davis-Kimball has found evidence of women warriors in ancient gravesites in the Caucasus.

That same warrior spirit is alive and well today, as we discover in Brooklyn's all female boxing crew, Team Freeform. In Oklahoma, Wilma Mankiller fought her way to power to become the first woman to lead the Cherokee Nation? Enduring death threats and constant ridicule from male colleagues.

And in the remote village of Mosuo in southwestern China, we discover one of the only surviving societies where women rule.

Want to see the documentary? Grab your Astro Guide and see if there is a replay. Seriously, it was very interesting and I never knew this culture was exist.

Women are known as a delicate feature. In some nation, women are considered weak and their rights were often or continuously denied. Cannot go to school, cannot go to work, cannot speak out their mind, and trapped inside a marriage ~ their only world was called home, no more no less. Scary isn’t it?

Here in Malaysia, women are so lucky. We are treated the same level with the men. Take Tan Sri Zeti Akhtar Aziz, the Bank Negara Malaysia Governor for example. For others, this position was only a dream and far away from imagination. But Dr. Zeti proved that women also can achieve the highest career. Work hard and don’t waste the opportunity. I am sure that most of you aware that Dr Zeti was named as one of the “World’s Best Central Bankers” over the past year (click here for the news).

I was thinking…If women ever rule, will women capable of managing the entire nation? Belum cuba belum tahu kan (If we not tried it, we will never know the result). If I was given the opportunity, first I will find way to eliminate ‘corruption’ forever and ever. Hahaha…sounds easy right, but it is not that simple. Only a true warrior can do it.

Enough of my ramblings. The question here for women…If women given the opportunity to rule the entire nation, what will you do? Ladies, don’t said that you will paint all the buildings in pink because the idea alone will make the guys horrified. Hahaha…
Guys, your opinion also welcome here ^ ^

Superwoman

:: credit to google ::

I am a WOMAN

I am STRONG

But I am so tired today...

Do you think its easy to become a woman?? Especially working mom...imagine how they deal with the non-stop busy day in the office (not to mention double-standard, sexual harassment, etc...)

After office hour, they have to deal with the 'home hour'. Managing the entire household...cooking, washing, attend all the children need and everything in between. The question is, where is the HUSBAND?
