My Day Is A Mayday

When blogging become an addiction, you will feel weird or feel something is not right the whole day if you cannot update your blog and visiting your loyal visitor (hahaha). That's what happen to me today (actually this past few days...sigh). Am I the only one who always used my works as an excuse? I hope not :)

I just can say that I am a little bit busy this week (still have no idea what is waiting next week). If only I can split myself into 3 or 4 pieces...sigh again. This morning, I just wear what I can grab from the cabinet and guess what, I was supposed to meet peoples today. On my way to office, I wish that I had wear more appropriate clothes for it. Anyway, who is to blame right? On top of that, I almost forgot to bring something very important that related to my work (hohoho).

In the afternoon, we got free bla bla bla and I wish I can boldly get myself out from that room and vomit all the tension at the ladies room. When you already done the best you can but someone still doesn't satisfy about it, seriously it can make your mood down. Why, is it a sin if you show a little appreciation? Sometimes life can be so cruel....sigh again for the third time (~ ~)

Just now, I am working on my translation and accidentally hit the (X) button. All the tension bubbles up and ready to explode BUT...thank God I manage to control myself. No matter what happen, it is auto save so no need to worry...hahaha

Oraitlah, a little ramblings to end the day. Looks like my day is almost turn into a mayday. How is yours??

PS : Good night...

Valentine's Day Story

Sumandak in the house :)

Can you feel love is in the air? Naaah, Valentine’s Day is just around the corner. It is the day to celebrate love and express your appreciation to your loves one. Could be your parents, family, spouse, fiancĂ©e or fiancĂ©, your best friends…meaning Valentine’s Day is not for couple only, it is for everyone. Not everyone actually…but as a 1Malaysia, lets respect each other okay…

So, do you have any special story or moment about your Valentine’s? Something like surprise from your loves one or secret admire (hihihi), romantic dinner, romantic holidays or someone buy you a private jet as a gift (hahahaha). My story goes like this…

In my early relationship with Mr. M, he truly surprises me. A florist came into my office and said she had something to me. A card and a rose. I was like OMG because nobody has done something like that to me in my entire life. Thank God my boss is not around at that time, I am blushing from head to toe maaah (~ ~)

What caught my attention the most is his words in the card. Well, I cannot tell you exactly his words. Its private and confidential >.< I only can say that he is truly honest with his feeling…after that, no more surprise. Doesn’t mean the flame is already cold. NOOOO…our relationship is still very much on fire (what kind of statement is this…hahaha).

We made a deal, on a special occasion like birthdays, anniversary or whatsoever…ask your couple what they want as a gift then go and buy the things together. Already try it a lot of times and hey, it is fun I tell you. But of course you have to tell your couple the limit of your budget. Imagine your couple asks for a jet plane, how you will pay for it…hahaha. If your pocket is bottomless, no problem lah…

That my story. Too simple and maybe ordinary to some people but still special to me :) If you have your own Valentine’s Day story that is interesting, share here or write about it in your blog then tell me, I will come and read it…

I remember a friend of mine told me that his father never failed to go to his wife office every Valentine's Day with a bunch of roses. He will kiss his wife on the cheek and said, "Darling Happy Valentine's Day"...all the staffs there will clap their hands. Wah, what a romantic couple. Even though wrinkles and white hair already visible here and there but they didn't ashamed to show their appreciation to each other.

And as everyone knows, roses are very synonym to the celebration so don’t forget to book your roses early kio. At that day, the price will sky rocket due to the demands but still can sold out like ‘goreng pisang’. Some people cannot afford to buy even one piece of rose, don’t worry…it is not about the flowers, gifts, dinners or whatsoever. What inside your heart and how you feel about your couple is more important than anything else…

Happy Friday, happy weekend and have a pleasant day my dear friends…

Nian

A story about a monster and Chinese New Year

There are a lot of version about this monster name Nian. Anyway I pick this version to share with you. Hope you enjoy the story and your day as well...Happy Friday :)

The Spring Festival is the grandest festival for the Chinese. The Spring Festival is also called "Nian", but who knows the term, Nian, was once the name of a furious monster that lived on human beings in the ancient time. How the Festival has some relationship with the monster lies in a story about the origin and development of the Spring Festival.

The legend says, long ago, there was a monster called Nian. It was born to be very ugly and ferocious, which looked like either dragons or unicorns. On the first and the 15th of each lunar month, the monster would come down from the mountains to hunt people. So people were very much afraid of it and locked their doors early before sunset on the days of its coming.

- From : Google -

There lived an old wise man in a village. He thought it was the panic in people that made the monster so bold and furious. Thus the old man asked people to organize together and to conquer the monster by means of beating drums and gongs, burning bamboo, and lighting fireworks in purpose of making large noises to threaten the hateful monster. When he told people about the idea, everybody agreed on it.

At a moonless and freezing cold night, the monster, Nian, appeared again. The moment it opened its mouth at people, burst out the frightening noises and fire made by people, and wherever the monster went, it was forced to back off by the terrible noises. The monster couldn't stop running until he fell down with exhaustion. Then people jumped up and killed the evil monster. Savage as the monster was, he lost in the end under the efforts from the cooperation of people.

- From : Google -

Since then, people have kept the tradition by beating drums and gongs, and lighting fireworks at the coldest day in winter to drive the imagined monsters away and to celebrate the victory over it. Today, Nian refers to the New Year's day or the Spring Festival. People often say Guo Nian, which means 'live the festival.' Furthermore, Nian also means the year. For an example, the Chinese often greet each other by saying Xin Nian Hao, which means Happy New Year! Xin means new and Hao means good.

Thank You

Sumandak in the house :)

Seriously, how many times do we say Thank You in our daily life. Once, twice, lots of times or never said it at all. I want to share my experience with saying Thank You :)

Thank you is an expression of gratitude

Normally, we say thank you after someone help us with something. Doesn’t matter who that someone is. It could be your spouse, brother, sister, friends, boss or the janitor...but above all, we thank God every morning for giving us the day to experience.

But you know, sometimes I get confuse when I said thank you so many times in a day. I always say the words after paying goodies I bought. Then it will struck me from nowhere like okay, why should I say that. I mean, I am the one who should said welcome right?? Hahaha...

Same situation in the food court. I will say thanks (with a sweet smile) to the waitress after my food arrived on the table. You know what happen next? The waitress will assist you immediately if you need anything. Once, I ask the waitress if she can pack our leftover for the cats at home. She came back with a bulged plastic and said,”Miss I mix this with the food from the kitchen, just don’t tell my boss okay” I was speecless...

Then there is this my favorite vegetables seller. I visit her stall every afternoon to buy veggies. She always give me a special price, even give me a free veggies to bring home. All that act start with the words thank you (in reverse of course...haha). But it is not about the special price or free veggies, I never expect something like that in return. I think that special bound happen when you are sincere with yourself and to others.

And I just realized this yesterday

Sumandak : Anti, piro tii (Auntie, how much is this?)

Auntie : Sorringit (RM1.00)

Veggies packed, after paid the price...

Sumandak : Thank you auntie (blurted out just like that confidentaly)

Auntie : Miagal nopo... (same to you)

Do you know what is weird about it? I was supposed to say Pounsikou (thank you) and Inan (Auntie) but all this time, I’ve been dragging the english words to that obviously Dusun auntie...hahahaha. I should be ashamed of myself and I shouldn't do that. How can you preserve your own language when you mix it with another language? Sorry auntie, it won’t happen again...I promise :)

So, there goes my story. Thank you may seem easy to say but believe me, it means a lot to the person who is being thanked. Start saying thank you as many as you can even if it just a small thing. Apprecaite more in your life...Don’t you feel appreciate when someone say Thank You to you?

Naaah, thank you for taking time to read kio...

PS : Mr. M is the only person on planet earth who loves to top up my credit and when I text him Thank You, he will text me back...Terima Kasih saja? (Just a Thank You?) Ingat percuma kah tu (who said its free?) I was like seriously?? I didn't even ask for it. Orait, he was just kidding okay...hahahaha

Creepy Creatures At Home

Sumandak in the house...hahaha
Ever meet creepy creatures in your life? Meet these 3 creatures that can be found at our home. I know they are hiding somewhere inside/outside the house, only show their creepy look when the time is right. Hahaha…One of the creature is dedicated to Azura, been promise to her since last year.

Before I continue, please take note that some of the fact, points or whatsoever maybe not true. I mean I write the story without a research but based on what I normally see around our home. In another words, if you doing your homework and stumble on my page SERIOUSLY DO NOT COPY. This is not an article, just a story. Anyway you can correct any facts if you want :)

Lontugi aka Ulat Gonggok. Yaaaay, look at the long body with thousand of legs. I wonder where it shops for shoes during Christmas Day….hihihihi. Just kidding. This creature is harmless, isn’t it? I will never ever dare to touch it, just looking at it can sent a shiver to my soul >.<

It normally can be seen after the rain, especially in the morning. Maybe it’s the damp that make the creature came out from the hiding place. Who said  only human need fresh air...Hehehe

Whenever we see this little creature around, we will move it to a safe place or track. It moves super slow maaah…we don’t want anyone stepping on it.

Naaaaah, this one is the notorious visitor at our home! Meet Tongkilamai aka Lipan. Grandma had bitten twice, brother once…We are the boss of the home, I cannot understand why this creature come and bite as it please. We are not hoarders okay. Our home is clean and clear (hahaha), maybe this creature also want to feel the comfort of home. If its raining heavily, be prepared…this creature will appear before you know it. I remember one incident last year during dad’s birthday. The story goes like this…

Everyone : Happy birthday to you…

Sister : Tongkilamaaaaiii!!!

Everyone : Manaaa??? (where?)

Can you imagine the chaos? Hahaha…everyone ends up looking for that notorious visitor. Nobody want to touch the food unless we found it! Thank God, we found and send it to rest in peace…we are not a killer, we only want to protect ourselves >.<

Last but not least, meet Kumbang Goliat (according to Mr. G, correct me if I am wrong). Is it Kumbang Kotoran or what? When we were in our tender age, the grown up said this creature likes to move dirt. I found this creature on top of box, laying face up. My brother said, it been there for almost 2 days. Haaaahhh….!! And nobody have the sense to move it?? Poor little creature but I didn’t have the courage to touch it…look at the strong legs, imagine it grip your skin. Lastly, I give my brother a strict orders to move and let it go…hahahahaha

Orait barait, there goes my creepy creatures story. I hope you enjoy my bla bla bla and the pictures as well :)

P/S Don’t stare too long. I will not responsible if any of the creatures jump out from your screen….hahahaha

End Of Days

- from : Google -
Time really wait for no one. In the blink of eyes, its already the end of days today. For a couple of hours, we will say goodbye to 2010 and say hello to 2011.

What is your 2010 story...anything interesting? There are so many things happened around us this year. Gruesome murders, that memorable World Cup,  celebrities divorce, politics drama, Prince William engagement (hehe) and many more. And I think winning the Suzuki Cup is the sweetest memory to wrap 2010 :)

As for me, I experience lots of things that really open my eyes. Which taught me that this life is full of drama and you have to read between the lines to see the real intention. In an easy words, good and sad things colors my 2010 chapters. I am not gonna share it here because some of it too personal so I better keep it deep down in my heart. Some of it are going to be locked forever and ever, the others...I have to carry it forward because I have no choice.

Anyway, I am not complaining. Whatever happens in this life, just face it because thats the way it is. If you think life is like a fairy tales, you are absolutely wrong. There is no such things...right??

Okay, am I scaring you? hahaha...forget it. Lets leave 2010 with a good feeling and pray for the best in 2011. I am sure most of you plan something tonight while waiting for the time to shift. Well, I hope you have a good time...

That's all folks :)

Family Day

Hello, Sumandak in the house..hehe
I know everyone is so excited because Malaysia win the Suzuki Cup and tomorrow is holiday! I don't know in your area but looks like the weather outside is not so cool. I think the rain will start at any minute and I hope the rain will not down everyone's spirit.

Orait everyone, I want to share our Family Day on the 26 of December 2010, right after Christmas Day. Actually it is called Feast Of The Holy Family. The feast usually falls on the Sunday after Christmas. If Christmas falls on Sunday, the feast will celebrated the next Sunday (please correct me if I am wrong).

We conduct a lot of games. Of course every games, there will be a winner. But that is not the main purpose in the games. It is about how well you can cooperate with your family members and to be aware that unity is very important to build a strong family. The rest is about sharing the joy, fun and laughter with each other...hehehe. Okay lets check it out...

- what are they doing?? -
Melastik (how to say that in english...hehehe). Serioulsy, I really enjoy this game. This game is a must in my village and this is my first time to join it. I don't know how is the proper/exact way to use the tool, I just 'hentam keromoh' hahaha...

- the target -

This is the target. I forgot to ask the distance but for me, it seem very far away...hahahaha

The next game is to build the highest tower using pipes. This game require creativity and cooperation. The organizer provide tools as pipes, pipes connector and plastic rope. So it is up to the family members how they want to build their tower.

- the tower, hahaha -
There also Puzzle games. This game also require cooperation between family members. The fastest family who can arrange the whole puzzle become the winner.  It is not easy you know because the audiences suppose to encourage you but it happens on the contrary. How can you focus when the audiences becomes so noisy...hehehehe

See, most of the games require unity and cooperation between family members. That's why we need to support each other because we need each other. And remember, unity is important in every family no matter what kind of family you have. Without family, we are nothing (are you agree with me?). Do you want to face the world alone?

My Christmas Story

I was supposed to write about My Christmas Story today but my head is throbbing like it will explode at any minute. Seriously, this migraine is killing me!

So lets the pictures do the talking today. I just want to say that my Christmas Celebration this year is a little bit gloomy. I mean, Mr. M’s father just passed away and I think it’s weird to be over-happy even though its Christmas Day and you should be super duper happy but...I just can’t.

- Christmas in purples -
This year, my family said the color is purple. It is an easy color because every shopping complex loaded with this color, so there is no problem to look for the dress or clothes. Okay, Christmas is not about new outfit. Mum said, there is no point to wear new clothes when in your heart nothing is change. Means, you still keep the hatred, cannot forgive and forgive. She's right...

We spend Christmas at the church. There is Lucky Draw and a show we name Togung Got Talent. You know, kids are the most happiest person on Christmas Day. You can see their smile from ear to ear...hahaha. Cannot blame them because if they happy, you will happy too :)

- Nemo, Ellen's sweetheart -
- busy, preparing the Lucky Draw -

- Jude, the Magic Man -

- Gegirl, singing Kasih Yesus -

- Just our musician, playing Yujian and Twilight -

- Clinton, showing some talent...haha -

- Magic Man, in the making -

- Phillips family, singing We Are The Reason -

- The G Family -

- Blackberry Phone, pujaan ramai...hahaha -

That Blackberry phone, the hottest stuff on that day...We are (I am) disappointed we didn't win it. Seriously, there are 5000 pieces of tickets inside the box. Everyone have their chance but there is only one the luckiest person...hahaha. Next time lah kan :)

- Sumandak -
- Tanak Wagu -

- Mr. M and Sumandak Kinabalu...hehehe -

Orait barait, that's all about my Christmas Story. Thanks for reading and for waiting patiently for the pictures to upload...hehe

- mums -
Last but not least, a special million thanks to Mums aka Mama-Mama for preparing and make sure everyone got their meal :)
