Last month, my sister and I went to a book fair in Suria Sabah shopping complex. Our expectation for this book fair was very high, we thought there will be thousands of books ready to be picked by the book lovers...anyway, that was in our dreams only. I am sure whoever went to that book fair know what I mean (*_*)

Okay, forget about that.

The only book that caught my attentions during the book fair was this SUNDAIT KADAZANDUSUN.

Sundait is a combination from a words SUNUDAI (means asking for a riddle) and KARAIT (means to mention or guessing the answer for the riddle). So the meaning of Sundait is riddle.

Of course, there are a lot of Sundait books during the fair but this is the only one I found very interesting. Why? See what I mean in the picture below...

Every Sundait complete with meaning and illustration, including a brief explanations that related to the KadazanDusun community. The meaning are described in Malay, which is suitable for those who are interested to learn the KadazanDusun language. To be honest, I myself not quite understand what the Sundait means, so the explanations in Malay help a lot.

All 80 Sundait gathered from various regions throughout Sabah, meaning the is more...I hope in the future, the author will issue more Sundait book with translation so it will not lost it time.

Legally married by law...

Last month, on the 22 of March 2012 me and Mr. M registered our marriage at Jabatan Pendaftaran Negara. I should have shared that moment earlier but so many things need to be taken care of. Anyway, here is our wedding registration in the KadazanDusun traditional costume...

Blessing at the church and reception will be this coming Saturday. Suddenly I feel so nervous, I just hope that everything will went well as we plan...

View from Gunting Lagadan Hut at 1.30am

Continued from the previous entry, conquering the Mt. Kinabalu Low's Peak :)

Waking up at 1.30am. First thing I did was running outside to check the weather...OMG! Its was so beautiful outside the Gunting Lagadan Hut. The temperature read 6 Celsius, moon smiling and stars are glittering, the UFO man also say hi (okay just kidding)...meaning we can continue the climb. Yeaaaaah, what a lucky day!

Checking on Mr. M, he was in a very good shape and cannot wait to start. He said, this will be our last climb as a 'bujang' so we must do the best of it. Ya right...whatever (^_^)

Sunrise...

As we climb, I pray that the beautiful weather will last until we descending down. This time, it was quite an easy climbing, except for the windy situation plus the wet rocks and ropes. What was I thinking, I only bring one pair of gloves and it was already wet the moment I touch the ropes. Ugggh!! Luckily, I eat DETERMINATION for breakfast so a wet gloves was just a small matter...hahaha

Finally, Mr. M managed to conquer the Low's Peak! He was so excited he threw RM1 into the wishing pond with a typical words from him - pontokon okuno numbur (paling astaga!)

Oh, sekadar gambar hiasan...haha

That's it, my third attempt and still counting...maybe next time I will try Via Ferrata on Mount Kinabalu but first of all...must cure the gayat thing. Yakin Boleh!

Like my mum said, "buat apa juga kamurang ni balik-balik pigi gunung??" Well, found out why on my next entry...

Definitely Mount Kinabalu again. My mum said, "buat apa juga kamurang ni balik-balik pigi gunung??". Well mum, its addicting...plus the rate is just nice and affordable. Who knows maybe one day they will raise the rate until you choke...hahaha

We started the trip with a pouring rain (sangat astaga!). I was supposed to write details about the 7 shelters, anyway thanks to the on and off rains! Nevertheless, everyone on our team reached Laban Rata safely on time. I really thank God for that.

That night, the rain started again. We were so worried. If the rain didn't stop, that only means we cannot continue our climb the next morning. To make the feeling worse, the guide told us that before us many climbers denied from continuing the climb due to safety reason. Next time will bear in mind no more climbing on January (@@)

Places In Kundasang feat gadisBUNGA

Alright, here is the few places in Kundasang we managed to visit with gadisBUNGA. Actually, I only managed to visit two places with her...the rest she went with my sister Just and a friend. Had to hurry back, my holidays application is not approved due to unexpected things (hohoho). Thank God gadisBUNGA understand my situation. Seriously, being 'short-cut' from your own holidays is totally not a cool thing!!

Whatever...

Okay, forget about that. Here is the few pictures from our holidays...

Our first pit stop is at Desa Dairy Farm which located at the Mesilau Plateau, Kundasang. Normally, the main purpose peoples come here is to learn how fresh milk processed from raw to finish product. If you want to experience the milking session, come early around 2.00pm. The milking session start at 3.00pm.

Although we really want to watch the session, we went there at 9.00am (wrong time my dear...hahaha). We heard that at 3.00pm, automatically all the cows lining up and ready for milking. Is it true? I guess we have to find it out on the next trip (~~)     

YES. Definitely don't forget to try Desa fresh milk.

If the weather is good, you can see the Mt. Kinabalu clearly. Fresh cool air, breathtaking landscape in every angle...no wonder this place is very famous among wedding photographers :)

Our next pit stop is at Kundasang War Memorial, which was built as a tribute for the brave ones. This place has change a little from our last visit. I notice they had make some renovation here and there. Perhaps the most obvious one is at the top level, the Contemplation Garden. I am not sure whether I like it or not. I mean a place like this we should preserve and stick to the original design. Okay no hard feeling, it was just a thought (^_^)

Despite of all that, being here is still a good thing. Take some of your time to think about those who are willing to sacrifice themselves for the sake of the future.
