Why We Keep Coming Back...

This is why we keep coming back...to capture the awesome view, getting inspired at the mountain or perhaps looking for adventure. Hope you enjoy the pictures. Sorry for the not-so-good a.k.a poor photo editing...I don't know how to use Photoshop, I only familiar with the basic editing at Picasa (^_^)

Mt. Kinabalu Low's Peak, Chapter I of 2012

View from Gunting Lagadan Hut at 1.30am

Continued from the previous entry, conquering the Mt. Kinabalu Low's Peak :)

Waking up at 1.30am. First thing I did was running outside to check the weather...OMG! Its was so beautiful outside the Gunting Lagadan Hut. The temperature read 6 Celsius, moon smiling and stars are glittering, the UFO man also say hi (okay just kidding)...meaning we can continue the climb. Yeaaaaah, what a lucky day!

Checking on Mr. M, he was in a very good shape and cannot wait to start. He said, this will be our last climb as a 'bujang' so we must do the best of it. Ya right...whatever (^_^)

Sunrise...

As we climb, I pray that the beautiful weather will last until we descending down. This time, it was quite an easy climbing, except for the windy situation plus the wet rocks and ropes. What was I thinking, I only bring one pair of gloves and it was already wet the moment I touch the ropes. Ugggh!! Luckily, I eat DETERMINATION for breakfast so a wet gloves was just a small matter...hahaha

Finally, Mr. M managed to conquer the Low's Peak! He was so excited he threw RM1 into the wishing pond with a typical words from him - pontokon okuno numbur (paling astaga!)

Oh, sekadar gambar hiasan...haha
That's it, my third attempt and still counting...maybe next time I will try Via Ferrata on Mount Kinabalu but first of all...must cure the gayat thing. Yakin Boleh!

Like my mum said, "buat apa juga kamurang ni balik-balik pigi gunung??" Well, found out why on my next entry...

Mount Kinabalu...again :)

comfortable compare to the shoes but not recommended for first timer...

Definitely Mount Kinabalu again. My mum said, "buat apa juga kamurang ni balik-balik pigi gunung??". Well mum, its addicting...plus the rate is just nice and affordable. Who knows maybe one day they will raise the rate until you choke...hahaha

We started the trip with a pouring rain (sangat astaga!). I was supposed to write details about the 7 shelters, anyway thanks to the on and off rains! Nevertheless, everyone on our team reached Laban Rata safely on time. I really thank God for that.

Nepenthes Villosa

That night, the rain started again. We were so worried. If the rain didn't stop, that only means we cannot continue our climb the next morning. To make the feeling worse, the guide told us that before us many climbers denied from continuing the climb due to safety reason. Next time will bear in mind no more climbing on January (@@)

Okay, thats all for now...will continue the journey later :)

Tambunan Village Resort Centre (TVRC)

Sumandak in the house (^_^)

Waaah, it took me a little while before I can continue with the KK-Keningau-Tambunan-Ranau-KK trip! And I know it's been a while I didn't update, let alone blogwalking or whatsoever related to blogging thing...yay!

Okay, Tambunan here we come...

We went straight to Tambunan Village Resort Centre (TVRC). If you want to know about what this TVRC all about, go directly to their website. Will you believe me if I tell you that it took 4 years for Mr. M to fulfill his promise to bring me here...sangat astaga!

TVRC offers a lot of attractions for visitors during their visit here such as Rafflesia Centre, Mount Trus Madi,  Mawah Waterfall and Jogging Track (just to mention a few of it). For those who wants to experience a peaceful night, TVRC offers chalets made from split bamboo. When I was young, I always went to grandma's bamboo home and spend a night there. So, yes I know how it feels. No need fan or air conditioner :)

Although TVRC offers a lot of attractions to be explore, the main purpose for our visit is to feed the fish. Both parties (I mean the fish and us) really enjoy the feeding frenzy...hahaha. So adorable you want to pick one and put in your bag (^_^) You even had the chance to touch them but beware...you can end up wet from head to toe. Looks like the fish loves to splashed you with water :)

Had enough feeding the fish? You can rent a boat and stroll around the fish pond. Time is not on our side although I really one to try one ride...maybe next time.

Unless you try other activities offers by the TVRC, there is little you can do here at the fish pond area but overall the experience was quite interesting.

On Our Way To Pekan Keningau...

Sumandak in the house :)

Okay, just a short and quick entry...

Last month we have this Kota Kinabalu-Keningau-Tambunan-Ranau-Kota Kinabalu trip. A trip that started at 6.00am, ended at 5.30pm in approximately 380 kilometers :) The driver? Of course the experience Mr. M (hahahaha...) After all, it was his idea...

At first I am not sure whether we can make the journey complete or not due to the gloomy and unexpected weather. But thank God, the weather is on our side and improve in the middle of the journey :)

We arrived at Pekan Keningau around 8.30am. After breakfast, we walk for a while around the Pekan. Hmmm...frankly speaking, nothing interesting here. Only a typical lifestyle and surrounding just like back home.

Time to continue our journey and guess what...we were not sure which way we should go to reach Tambunan. Mr. M said he forgot which one! Can you believe that?!

This journey was to be enjoyed so when something like this came up...no need to panic and no need to be angry with each other. We are not lost in the Amazon jungle lah...besides, we can ask around and there were signboards everywhere as a guidance (^_^)

At last we found the right one and head to Tambunan.

To be continued...
