Bulge Stomach

Hello everyone, good morning...
No book to share today, believe it or not I cannot find the right book. I spend almost 20 minutes looking for the title or genre without success. So, let’s change it to another topic. Do Bulge Stomach sounds familiar to you??

Seriously, I am struggling with a bulge stomach! I was like OMG because it becomes more and more obvious! Before the Hari Raya (I mean at the fasting month) I lose 1Kg and after that my weight increased by 2Kg. My God, I don’t even know what I eat at that time…hahaha. Or maybe it is a normal thing to happen when you age is 29++ (hehe)

Okay, before we share more about this...please take note that this topic is not to offend anyone. I understand, most people who suffer this situation can become very sensitive. That including me, haha...Sometimes, when my sister said I was like a pregnant woman, I hurt a little because she mean my stomach bulged! But it is the truth and as a grown up we must face the fact even if it hurt. So, if I hurt anyone feelings, please forgive me because I didn't mean it. Okay, here goes...

Bulge Stomach - It's been defined as one of the most problematic areas on a person's body…the stomach - and it seems everyone is obsessed with flattening it.

Unfortunately many people think they can eat whatever they want and get a flat stomach by performing 250 crunches per day to burn off the extra fat and calories. That's probably the biggest myth around. The reality is, most people never have long-term success when it comes to losing stomach fat.

Why It's So Hard to Lose Belly Fat
The majority of people who set out to lose belly fat never reach their goal, and those who do, only keep it off for a short amount of time. If this describes you, let's explore the reasons why you are struggling with weight loss and/or flattening your stomach...

Lack Of Understanding Of How Your Body Works

A lot of people assume they can just do crunches or buy an ab machine to flatten their stomach. When you have stomach flab, you actually have extra flab all over your body. It just may look worse in the mid section.

Or maybe you have the type of body frame that gains a disproportionate amount in your stomach area. So it's understandable why you may think you only need to exercise that one area to achieve results.

It's important you understand that you will never lose your stomach fat until you get your entire body into shape.

Real Flat Stomach Facts
You need to understand that your stomach will never be flat until you lose weight in all areas. Maintaining a toned middle means developing good eating habits for life, stop crash dieting, exercise regularly and have tons of patience. Crunches alone will never get the job done.

Maybe this sounds like you?

"I want a flat stomach but my stomach never looks flat!"

"My dress looked great this morning. Why won't it fasten now?"

"My tummy feels heavy and bloated even after small meals!"

"I've tried every pill, potion and diet on the market but despite losing weight my stomach still looks fat and bloated!"

"I hate counting calories and doing boring sit-ups and crunches!"

If this sounds all too familiar you are not alone! Bloating makes you look and feel fat and for some people, trying to keep a Flat Stomach is a daily battle due to constant abdominal bloating. How often have you complained that those favourite jeans that fit so snugly first thing in the morning are bursting at the seams by evening? You eat healthily, you're relatively fit and your weight and bmi are normal so why do you still look fat? How can you stop bloating?

Here's a quick guide you can follow to help flatten your stomach. Print this list out and post it somewhere in your house where you'll see it.

1. Walk/jog for 30 minutes at least 3 times per week to boost your metabolism in order to burn that fat.

2. Eat a small handful of almonds (at least 6) every morning. Almonds are one of the healthiest snacks you can eat and the protein is good for burning fat.

3. Purchase a Pilates DVD and do the exercises at least 2-3 times per week. Pilates works on toning your entire body with concentration on your powerhouse (middle section) and will improve your flexibility.

4. Add fiber to your diet and cut down your intake of the bad carbs. Foods such as white bread, pastas, potatoes, and white rice should be limited. Eat brown rice and whole wheat bread instead. To get that needed fiber increase your intake of fresh fruits and vegetables (especially the leafy green ones).

5. Drink skim milk instead of whole milk. Keep your dairy intake at a minimum because these products often cause bloating and gas. (read more here)
